Case study / Web development & creative communications
A stronger school presence.
Built from within.
I proposed bringing website customisation and prospectus production in-house, then delivered the design, practical tools, writing and photography. The savings helped fund a new camera for the school.

The proposal
Use the expertise already in the team.
I took a proposal to the principal: we could save money and deliver a better result by using our in-house expertise. I took responsibility for website customisation and the new prospectus, bringing development, design and production together.
The work launched around the end of Term 2. Savings were put towards buying a Canon EOS R7 camera, investing in our ability to produce future material.
Website
Design the experience families actually use.
The website company built the underlying backend. I customised the public-facing site: styling, design and rebuilding pages. I also built three interactive tools to help families find practical information.
I continue to maintain, update and develop the pages and tools.
Custom tools
Answer the next practical question.
Explore the campus
A searchable campus map helps visitors locate rooms and buildings, with 360° photographs offering a look inside selected spaces. Explore the campus map ↗
Check the school zone
A street checker and boundary map help prospective families check the enrolment zone, with school-office confirmation available when needed. View the zone checker ↗
Find a school bus
The bus finder brings road search, morning and afternoon journeys, routes and stop information into one interface. It presents reference information, not live vehicle tracking. View the bus finder ↗
Prospectus
One person, from the first words to the finished pages.
I wrote and edited the copy, took the photographs, edited the images and designed the 20-page prospectus. Photoshop, Canva and a Canon EOS R7 were part of the production workflow.
The publication brings together the school’s curriculum, student experience and practical information for prospective families. A consistent visual style connects the photography, typography and page layouts.

Responsibility & value
Deliver it. Then keep improving it.
This project combines a proposal to leadership, cost-conscious delivery and ongoing ownership. It demonstrates the ability to work within an existing platform, build additional services and produce the communications that introduce an organisation to its audience.
The website and prospectus are my own production work. My separate Berkley TV case study covers student-led media and live production under my guidance.
Let’s talk
